Always a poplar session, A Passion for Possession: Collectors and Collecting, will feature a panel of renowned collectors-who will share their insights, hard won experience, and amusing stories, while offering advice for building and growing an art collection.
2019 Arts Patron
The fair will recognize an arts patron who has built a world-class art collection, and shared it, in part, with local musuems, a foundation or school. We salute their ongoing committment to promoting local artists in enhancing their careers. Join us as we acknowledge their generosity and continued sense of art philanthropy as we celebrate them onstage with an interview and award. Honoree TBA.
Museum Curators
Distinguished art museum curators from throughout Rocky Mountain West assemble to discuss, in a series of panel, their role in educating their unique audiences. Our panelists will explore how they strike a balance between their institutional history, community responsibility and global concerns.
Panel topics include: Lessons Learned in Curating, Where Ideas for Exhibitions Come From, Emerging Trends, and How a Museum Builds a Collection. Each panelist will host their own guided tour of the fair, at various days and times, and for which fairgoers can register to attend.
